Portland International Jetport (PWM) – the easiest choice, about 1 hour’s drive to our recommended hotels and shuttle pick-up points. Car-rental desks on-site.

Boston Logan (BOS) – widest flight options, roughly 3 hours’ drive to Norway, ME.

Augusta (AUG) or Bangor (BGR) – smaller airports (regional flights only); 1¼–2¼ hrs by car.

Manchester–Boston (MHT) – ~2 hrs 20 min by car, sometimes cheaper than Logan.

Rental Car — easiest & most flexible

– Available on-site at every airport listed (PWM, BOS, MHT, AUG, BGR).

– From Portland Jetport (PWM) you’ll be on I-95 N → Route 26; total drive to Oxford/Norway area is about 45 – 65 minutes.

– From Boston Logan (BOS) plan on I-95 N straight to Maine (≈ 3 hours)

– Gas stations are plentiful along the route; parking is free at both recommended hotels and at the Norway Municipal Lot.

Rideshare (Uber / Lyft)

– Works reliably only within the Portland metro area.

– A Portland-to-Oxford ride is typically $90–$120 before surge pricing and may be hard to find late at night.

– Very limited availability once you reach Oxford/Norway—don’t count on catching one after the reception.

No Direct Public Transit Beyond Portland

– There is currently no bus or train from Portland to Oxford/Norway.

– Taxis outside Portland are scarce (the local Norway cab usually covers short in-town trips only).

Bottom line: If you’re flying into Portland—or any airport other than Boston Logan and plan to head straight north—booking a rental car is the simplest, most dependable choice.

Amtrak Downeaster – five daily trains from Boston North Station to Portland; about 2 hrs 30 min. Amtrak

Concord Coach Lines – direct coach service from Logan Airport terminals to Portland (and Boston South Station); about 1 hr 45 min. Concord Coach Lines

From Portland you’re just a 45-minute drive to either recommended hotel or the Norway Municipal shuttle lot.

No guest parking at Granite Ridge—please ride the shuttle.

Poland Spring Resort: Leaves about 1 hour before the ceremony

Norway Municipal Parking Lot (19 Danforth St): Leaves about 30 minutes before the ceremony

Each 52‑seat coach includes one trip to the venue and two return loops. Return trip times may be fine‑tuned a few weeks before the wedding; we’ll email the final schedule.
